Course description:

The course is organized to accommodate both ambitious beginners and more advanced readers. Classes will be held on Thursdays from 6:00-8:00 p.m., beginning on April 17th, 2014 and ending on June 5th, 2014. Complete beginners should contact the instructor to determine if the program is suitable for them.

About the Instructor:

Alberto Todeschini received his Ph.D. from the University of Virginia in summer 2011. He has taught at the University of San Francisco, the University of Virginia and Kathmandu University’s Center for Buddhist Studies. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Ryukoku University in Kyoto, at the Institute for the Humanities at Kyoto University, and at Mangalam Research Center in Berkeley. Currently, he is visiting scholar at UC Berkeley, where he is also technology officer of the Humanities and Social Sciences Association.His languages include Sanskrit, Pali, Tibetan, Japanese and Chinese.

Tuition Information:

Tuition for the 8-week course is $200.
